  • Coming on April 19th. If you are willing to volunteer please contact your child's teacher. 

Egg Drop & BBQ

  • The annual Egg Drop Eggstravaganza at out school will be held  9:45-11:00 and 1:00-2:30pm (or until the last egg is dropped). The dates listed below indicate the grade level for each day.

  • 6/5- 5th grade 
  •  6/6- 4th grade
  • 6/7- 3rd grade


2nd Grade Tour

  • GMES will be having a tour of our campus for the upcoming 2018-2019 3rd grade class on Thursday, June 7th at 10:00 am. We invite parents to come for a brief overview with Ms. Bremgartner at 9:30 am and accompany their child when they tour. If you aren't able to attend the morning tour, it will be repeated at 6:30 pm.

About Us

Grand Mound Elementary is located on the I-5 corridor just 20 minutes south of Olympia and less than 10 minutes north of Centralia.  Grand Mound School serves approximately 500 students in grades 3-5 in the rural community of Rochester, Washington. Average class size is 24 students. Grand Mound Elementary offers students a complete range of academic classes. Students also have a music class, fitness class, library class, daily time in a mathematics lab and several classes that provide intervention for students who need extra assistance. A Highly Capable program is also available for students who qualify. GMES integrates technology into all facets of learning with a goal of improving student achievement and expanding student learning to its highest potential. Several recognition programs support students and their learning, giving positive recognition for exceptional effort and outstanding performance.
