Principal's Message

Dear Grand Mound School Community,

Hello! I am the new Principal at Grand Mound and am very excited to join your school community!

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT to parents of Mexican and Spanish descent (although I speak very little Spanish). My family consists of my wife, two daughters, one daughter-in-law, and two dogs.

Growing up, I was lucky to have educators care about me and hold me accountable for my behavior, which was critical to my development and helped formed my belief that I have a moral obligation to make sure students are physically, socially, and emotionally safe at school, and master grade level standards. I also believe that people are doing the best they can with the information they have.

In my career, I have taught Special Education classes, been an Assistant Principal, Principal and coached football, girls’ basketball and softball.

I am thrilled to serve your school community, so please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I know it will take time for me to earn your trust, so I only ask for you to give me a chance!

Sincerely,

Dan Aragon
