We are so excited to welcome you to the 2026-2027 school year! We hope your summer was filled with fun, laughter, and time with the people who matter most. We have missed you and are beyond ready to get you back in the building learning with and from one another!

This year, our schoolwide theme is "Learning is Required for All." At GMES, we believe learning isn't just something that happens in a classroom: it's something we do every day, together. We will learn new skills, discover new interests, solve problems, ask questions, make mistakes, try again, and celebrate our growth. Students, staff, and families alike will all learn together this year!

Our theme connects beautifully to our district promise: “We promise to know, value, and support every student, ensuring they graduate with confidence and skills for a successful future.”

Every student deserves to be known, valued, and supported. We want every Warrior to feel that they belong here, that their voice matters, and that they have people cheering them on every step of the way.

This year, we will continue working together to help our students build the academic skills, confidence, relationships, and resilience they need to thrive. Whether it’s becoming a stronger reader, discovering a new passion, learning how to work through a challenge, or simply learning something new about themselves, every day is an opportunity to grow together.

So, get ready, Warriors! Bring your curiosity, courage, kindness, and willingness to learn to school each and every day. Bring your questions. Bring your ideas. Bring your best effort. Remember, you don't have to know everything on day one -- we're all here to learn!
